The Health Collab!
The mission of The Health Collab is to provide a safe and inviting space for people who struggle to afford basic medical assistance and care. Our first facility is located in the town of Faisalabad, Pakistan.
Beginning as a collaboration between friends in Pakistan and Australia, The Health Collab was developed in response to the concerns of local neighbourhoods for medical care and assistance.
With this need for healthcare in Faisalabad, the idea for The Health Collab was sparked among a group of like-minded individuals.
In November 2022, The Health Collab first opened its doors to the community. Since then, our team has worked tirelessly to provide better health services to anyone in need.
As we move forward, we are excited about the potential for further growth and expansion. We are committed to continuing to provide quality health services and exploring new ways to make a positive impact on people’s lives.
Other organisations that provide outreach programs have become household names around the world, which is what The Health Collab hopes to achieve in time.

The Situation in Pakistan
The world’s fifth-most populous country has been stricken with various diseases, conflicts and destructive weather in recent history.
In 2018, the World Health Organisation (WHO) reported that Pakistan had the world’s 5th-highest tuberculosis burden and overall HIV prevalence sat around 21%.
There have also been high rates of unscreened blood transfusions and roughly 7.6% were affected by Hepatitis B and C. Malnutrition and neonatal mortality rates are also of concern.
What is a Basic Health Unit?
In Pakistan, basic health units (BHUs) are the minimum provision of health care necessary to maintain a functioning health system. They encompass an office building with residential facilities for a doctor and staff.
A functioning BHU should provide health care for the poor including health promotion, illness prevention, treatment and care of the sick, community development, advocacy and rehabilitation.
They will typically serve 5,000 to 10,000 people within a distance of roughly 25 kilometres.
Donations to The Health Collab will allow for the maintenance and expansion of Basic Health Units, increasing the provision of these vital measures.
How We Help
The Health Collab funnels donations into maintaining a functioning BHU in Faisalabad, with facilities for doctors to provide a range of services.
These include basic first aid for accidents or minor injuries; free medical screening by a general physician or referral to a specialist; and general medicine for early signs of disease.
